AYA Network joined YoU-CAN, the UNESCO Youth Climate Action Network—an international platform connecting youth climate networks from around the world.
The Afghan Youth Action (AYA) Network is pleased to announce that it has joined YoU-CAN, the UNESCO Youth Climate Action Network—an international platform connecting youth climate networks from around the world.
This membership creates an important opportunity for Afghan youth to exchange knowledge, contribute local perspectives, and strengthen collaboration in climate education, environmental awareness, community resilience, youth-led innovation, and research.
Through AYA, more than 20,000 youth volunteers across all 34 provinces—including approximately 40% young women—are turning climate knowledge into community action. By joining YoU-CAN, AYA will help bring Afghan youths’ experiences, ideas, and solutions into regional and global climate discussions while creating new pathways for learning and collaboration.
We look forward to contributing to the network and working alongside young climate leaders toward a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future.
