Introduction:
On March 12, AYA Volunteers organized an awareness session for women in Mazar-e-Sharif city. The objective of this program was to raise women’s awareness about the importance of environmental protection and the vital role of mothers in teaching children to care for nature and natural resources.
Program Proceedings:
The session began with an introduction to the topic and an explanation of the importance of the environment in human life. The facilitator discussed the role of a healthy environment in maintaining family health and well-being, and highlighted the negative impacts of environmental pollution.
The discussion then focused on the role of mothers as the first educators of children. Practical approaches to teaching children environmental protection values were also discussed. In addition, participants were informed about the importance of protecting saplings and trees, preventing the destruction of green spaces, saving water, and proper waste management.
Participants actively shared their views, experiences, and suggestions regarding environmental protection and educating children, and took part in group discussions.
