AOWA is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Gowhar Human Services and Protection Organization (GHSPO), formally welcoming it as an Organizational Member of AYA Network. GHSPO’s experience in protection, women’s empowerment, education and youth development will contribute to AYA Network’s efforts to strengthen coordinated, inclusive and meaningful youth participation across Afghanistan.
Under the MoU, both organizations will cooperate in areas including knowledge exchange, capacity strengthening, consultations, joint learning, youth engagement and the development of collaborative initiatives. GHSPO will also contribute evidence, expertise and opportunities relevant to AYA Network’s strategic areas: Climate and Environmental Action; Learning, Leadership and Youth Development; Innovation and Local Solutions; and Youth Engagement and Participation.
AYA Network is AOWA’s national youth empowerment programme, connecting young women and men, youth groups and organizations through national, provincial and community structures. Its Organizational Membership Programme provides a formal platform through which eligible organizations can exchange knowledge, strengthen their capacities and contribute to coordinated youth-led action.
AOWA warmly welcomes GHSPO to AYA Network and looks forward to productive cooperation that expands opportunities for young people and supports positive community-led change across Afghanistan.
