AYA Network will implement a youth-led project to strengthen mental-health awareness and psychosocial wellbeing among Afghan children and young people.
Through this youth-led project, the Afghan Youth Action (AYA) Network will promote mental-health awareness and psychosocial wellbeing among children and young people in Afghanistan.
The project will create safe and supportive spaces where young people can learn about emotional wellbeing, managing stress, healthy coping practices, peer support, and seeking appropriate help. AYA youth volunteers will facilitate awareness activities and age-appropriate discussions designed to reduce stigma and strengthen empathy, connection, and mutual care.
Particular attention will be given to girls and other young people experiencing isolation, disrupted education, economic pressure, displacement, and limited access to support services.
By strengthening knowledge and peer connections, the project aims to help young people feel heard, supported, and better equipped to manage everyday challenges while contributing to more caring and resilient communities.
